Feyre has survived Under the Mountain and is now a High Fae after being saved by the seven High Lords. Despite defeating Amarantha and escaping with Tamlin, the trauma from what she endured is weighing on her heavily. As her wedding to Tamlin approaches, Feyre realizes that Tamlin is doing everything he can to keep her safe, even if it means locking her up in Spring Court. She also has her bargain with Rhysand to contend with. When Rhys shows up to collect her, Feyre embarks on an entirely new journey that is more complex and cunning than she had imagined. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I immediately bought A Court of Mist and Fury<\/em> before even finishing book 1. I went into the series not knowing anything other than it is a High Fantasy series. Imagine my surprise when Tamlin and Lucien are not major characters in this book. I consider it a testament to SJM\u2019s talents as a world builder to have me not even caring about Spring Court anymore. I went into wary, but ended up extremely satisfied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Feyre\u2019s character development continued to strengthen, and I loved how the Night Court wanted her to grow her strengths instead of hide them away. The lesser known and new characters were fun to get to know and the challenges they faced were thrilling. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As promised, this book is very steamy and definitely a new adult (not young adult) story. I saw other readers call this a comfort book and I have to agree. While it is very long at over 600 pages, it flew by for me. I was eager to pick it back up and spend my hours with the Night Court. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You definitely need to read the series in order to understand the world building and character dynamics. I started it not knowing what I was getting into, but now I am fully immersed and excited to finish the series and explore more High Fantasy novels.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
