This book accurately depicted my struggles with identifying as Chinese American and how I view family. It will force the general reader to question those same ideas. What is family? Is it worth losing your cultural identity?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The book was triggering <\/em>for me at times, and I would caution adoptees (especially transracial adoptees) to know what topics are discussed before diving right in.
