Take a Hint, Dani Brown

Danika Brown doesn’t do relationships and romance. She’s working on her PhD and while she appreciates friends-with-benefits, an actual partner is not on her list to find. When the security guard (and ex-rugby player), Zaf, of her building rescues her from an evacuation drill, social media goes wild at their chemistry. The two decide to start a fake relationship to milk their new social media presence and help Zaf gain some support for his charity work. The only problem is, Zaf is actually a romantic and he isn’t sure he can keep his feelings in check for the ever-elusive Dani Brown. 

This is the sequel to Get a Life, Chloe Brown (and one more book is expected featuring the third Brown sister). Just like the first novel, this was steamy and full of romance. It did start off a bit slow for me. As Zaf and Dani proceeded with their fake relationship, I was getting a little weary of the conversations about logistics. I was also rooting for the two and really wanted their relationship to speed up. 

Also similar to the first book, Talia Hibbert writes her characters as real humans. They are entirely relatable and diverse. I love how she shows that people can be messy and not the fairytale versions of themselves at all times. The story was funny and heartwarming. Zaf and Dani both have things they need to work on and it soon becomes apparent that together they can be the best versions of themselves. 

Overall, I really enjoyed the book and I am excited to read about the youngest Brown sister in 2021!
