The Other Woman
I first heard about this book from Reese Witherspoon’s book club. In fact, I have made an effort to read most of the books she recommends because I have enjoyed them so much. This was no different.
The book had me turning pages quickly trying to guess what the big twist would be. I am happy to say, I did not predict this plot twist! There were times when I wanted to scream at the protagonist, but I also saw myself in her… making excuses for inexcusable behavior, trying to reason with weird things happening in life. I could relate.
There were times when I wanted to scream because the characters seemed very exaggerated. I now understand why after reaching the end. So yes, the characters can feel a little stereotypical and cliche at times, but I could move past it. In fact, it is on my list of books to re-read because I enjoyed it so much. It’s quick. It’s interesting. I don’t feel like I need to be taking detailed notes to understand what’s going on. Perfect for my lunch breaks and reading before bed!
