Alison Gaylin has written an incredible thriller that kept me turning the pages.

I was immediately drawn in and intrigued when I realized I would get an inside perspective into the mind of a teenage murderer. The characters keep you guessing the entire time. I had many theories about what was happening. Ultimately, some ended up being correct, but I was kept guessing and unsure until the very end.

Perhaps it was because it was such a quick read, but I had hoped for a little more character development and plot development. The ending was a little rushed for me and while my questions were answered, a deeper understanding of motivation would’ve been appreciated.

Nevertheless, this was a quick read for me. The format made it very easy to follow and kept me hooked the entire time. If I had the time, I likely would have finished this in one sitting. If you are looking for a thriller that may be a little different than your typical suspense book, look no further. Gaylin wrote a great book, and I am excited to read her other work!
