Three Things About Elsie
4/5 stars
I picked this up because the bookstore recommended it after I read, Where’d You Go, Bernadette. I could definitely see the similarities.
This story follows two elderly friends living at the same assisted living home. The mystery begins immediately as they try and expose the identity of a fellow resident and dangerous person from their past. There were some slower segments, but I never doubted I would finish the book.
Along the way, you try and figure out what the third thing about Elsie is (the first two were on the back of the book). The third thing about Elsie was a little obvious and not exactly a twist, but the book was still very enjoyable.
This is a wonderful story about loyalty, friendship, and strength… even when everyone is against you.
