The Bookish Life of Nina Hill
4/5 stars
What a cute story! Nina Hill is definitely bookish, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who strongly related to her. Nina is used to her schedule and living mostly alone. Something I also enjoy. She has her friends and socializes, but really enjoys that time she can take for herself and her books.
Suddenly she has an entirely new (and large) family and also a frenemy that could turn into a budding romance? All of these new relationships made for an intriguing read. Nina has to navigate people who love her, hate her, don’t know how to feel about her… all while trying to figure out how to deal with them too.
The plot was a little predictable, but this was not the type of book where you needed to solve a mystery. The feel-good plot lines kept me turning the pages and content. I did think part got a little slow, possibly due to the fact that I was predicting plots and always expecting the happy endings. Regardless, I enjoyed the book.
