The Last House Guest

Littleport, Maine may have been a summer vacation hotspot, but the town also held many secrets. Sadie Loman was a summer resident… Avery Greer lived there year round. These two were best friends until Sadie was found dead. As Avery works to find the truth behind Sadie’s death, she learns some more secrets she never imagined.
For some reason, this book didn’t hook me like Miranda’s other works. It started out very intriguing, but I found the pace to slow considerable, and I was losing interest. I did not predict the plot twist but unfortunately, that couldn’t redeem this as a page-turning thriller for me. If you’re in the mood for a summer/vacation themed mystery then this may be for you. It just didn’t work for me 🙁
