The Unhoneymooners

4/5 stars
Olive couldn’t believe it. Her twin’s wedding ended in a disaster and now Olive was stuck taking over the honeymoon trip to Maui. The issue? This trip was won in a contest so Olive has to pretend to be her twin. It sounds easy since they are identical, but she must also share the trip with the groom’s brother… a man she absolutely hates. Olive and Ethan must find a way to pretend to be in love without tipping off the resort.
I really enjoyed this book! It was a fun contemporary romance that was a great way to start my own vacation. I especially loved Olive. She is a strong, intelligent woman with a PhD in biology (something I am currently working on). I enjoyed the representation of POC and women in science so much that I looked up the author and was pleasantly surprised to find there are 2! Christina and Lauren (and one has a PhD in neuroscience)!
This book was paced well and I never found it to be too slow. The end was a bit predictable, but I still loved it. It had me laughing and feeling cozy just in time for the holidays.
