Sabine is missing. No one knows where she is, but it’s clear she needs to get away from a troubled marriage. Meanwhile, Beth is running for her life. As we follow Beth’s escape and the search for Sabine, truths are slowly revealed and we find out just how Sabine and Beth are connected. 

After seeing so many high ratings and reviews I was expecting a lot and was left disappointed. The twist was predictable which made the book much slower for me. I also felt that some of the minor characters just disappeared. It makes some sense given the plot and location changes, but they weren’t given much resolution.

I would have really enjoyed had I not predicted the ending so early. It was written well, and the perspective changes with each chapter kept it interesting. This could be the perfect thriller for many if you don’t figure out the twist or are patient when you do.
