MY ADOPTION STORY Pt. 80 | BEING ALLOWED TO SPEAK UP

People often ask why/how my parents let me speak up about adoption. This is a problematic question for multiple reasons. I am an adult and should be allowed to talk about what I like. I also think people should be allowed to live authentically without fear of judgement or abandonment. In this episode, I discuss this question and also what my parents did that gave me the courage to speak up.

My videos are filmed and scheduled to publish weeks in advance. While I had the energy to discuss these topics then, I may be in a different place now. I don’t want any adoptee to feel like I am ignoring their connections. I just have to take care of myself as well.
