The TV Stand is Coming Together

As you’ve seen, I’ve been clearing out my home and making space for new decor that actually reflects my style. Minimalist and neutral is my go-to when it comes to picking an aesthetic.

After getting rid of as much as I could, I started rearranging what I had and figuring out what I wanted.

Having an apartment in your 20s usually means that the furniture sort of matches but there is usually one minor thing that is off and it messes up the entire flow (for example, slightly different shades of “black”).

I started curating decor that would, ideally, make the apartment a bit more cohesive. At least until I could afford quality furniture.

If you have an eye for fashion and jewelry then you may have also noticed, I almost exclusively stick to gold and rose gold metals. They’ve always looked best on my skin and that habit carried through to my living spaces.

I picked up some gold toned decor from both West Elm and CB2 to liven up my TV stand. They onyx clock from CB2 may be my favorite. It adds a subtle pop of color and is functional!

Gone are the days where my TV stand is cluttered with old New Yorker magazines and sleeves of video games. Those will remain neatly tucked away in their respective drawers.

I’m excited to see what else I can find to make this apartment feel more like home, and I’m excited to see what else I can get rid of as I begin adulting a bit more.
