My First Coach Bag in 10 Years!!
When I was 12 years old, my parents asked me what I wanted for my birthday. I had watched my mom carry around her Coach bags and wished I could eventually do the same. They got me a mini shoulder bag (white with multicolored logos) and the matching coin purse. It was the best gift to date and I carried it everywhere.
My interest in Coach continued for another few years and included some trips to the Coach outlet, but then I discovered the world of Louis Vuitton on a trip to Italy. Since then, I haven’t had any Coach products.
Until recently.
I was questioning why I was investing so much money in canvas pieces. Don’t get me wrong. I love a nice LV canvas bag, but it was becoming harder to justify the price. I was walking by Coach when I saw they were having a sale.
I found this Parker Top Handle for 50% off and fell in love. The adjustable and removable crossbody strap was a suitable length and I knew I could work with the color year-round. The leather is soft but durable, and the store includes free hot stamping for the luggage tag that comes with it.
The best part is how much the bag holds. I can carry my usual essentials (keys, cardholder, lipstick, pen, a pocket size notebook) as well as a small cosmetic case and my Kindle Paperwhite.
This bag has become my go-to work purse that I can easily grab for a coffee and book break. I’m glad that Coach has begun to move away from having the C logo plastered all over the bag (I have even begun to dislike the monogram LV canvas on bags). It’s a great bag when you want to remain a little more low-key, but still feel chic.
Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase especially because it was a fantastic price for a leather bag. Goodbye, canvas pieces!
