Taking an update break?

Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted a musing for the day. I’ve been sticking to the book reviews, plus life has not been exciting enough to post about lately.

I’ve been working a lot. So much so, that I am officially on hiatus from working on my novel and will hopefully pick it back up in September. The end of the summer has been so hectic. Between wrapping things up, to getting ready for the start of the fall semester there seems to be no time. I have continued to make reading and reviewing a priority –mostly because it is so enjoyable and makes me happy.

The weather has been hotter than ever. Even indoors is hot. The AC just can’t seem to cool down buildings fast enough. I’ve been staying inside with the dog and we’ve been doing our best to stay cool until fall finally comes. It seems that everyone else is doing that too. I frequent a coffeeshop at an outdoor mall and the usually busy streets are empty.

I’m super stoked because the film of Where’d You Go, Bernadette is out. I loved the book and am really excited to see Cate Blanchett take on the titular character. I hoping to see it tomorrow with a friend who also read the book.

What’s the plan for the rest of the weekend for me? You guessed it! More work and reading. To some, that may seem really boring, but I’ve finally found my groove. I like my routine and have finally found a way to maintain productivity while also taking time to do fun things! I highly recommend it.
