Chanel Boy Cardholder 20B

After a long month of working hard and getting a significant bonus in my paycheck, I decided to treat myself to my first NEW Chanel piece. I own a vintage Chanel double flap bag that is literally older than I am. The bag was made circa 1991 and I was born in 1994. If you want me to make a post on that, let me know.

But back to the main event…. The Boy Cardholder! I browsed my local boutique and was mostly deciding between the Classic Cardholder in black caviar leather and the cardholder I actually bought.

I am so excited and it was a really special moment for me. Since I bought my vintage bag off of Fashionphile, it was my first time going into a boutique and purchasing an item for myself.

The leather feels supple and luxurious. I am not too concerned about the wear and tear because my bag is in lambskin, the most delicate of leathers, and I haven’t had issues with it. I love the grey color and I think the light color will make it very easy to find in my black hole of a bag. I like that it is still a neutral color and can match many things.

The only thing that would have made everything better was if I had the opportunity to go to a standalone Chanel boutique. The closest one to me is 2.5 hours away (without traffic), so I have to go to my local Neiman Marcus Chanel boutique. It was still a nice experience and overall I am happy, but I would have liked to form a relationship with a FA (fashion advisor) and spoken with someone with a bit more knowledge about Chanel products.

Whenever I save up enough for a new Chanel bag, I will definitely head to a standalone boutique. I’ll try and update on the wear and tear, but for now I am excited to admire and use this beauty 🙂
